The Artist

Dana Behnam is an Iranian-American painter based in California whose work is shaped by a life lived across different countries and cultures. Having lived in many parts of the world, she draws inspiration from everyday moments, natural settings, and the quiet beauty found in ordinary scenes.
She began painting in 2010 and works in both acrylic and oil. Her work often focuses on color, light, and atmosphere, exploring subjects such as flowers, figures, and landscapes with a sense of calm observation.
Behnam first studied painting through an art course in Portland, Oregon, and later continued her artistic training at the School of Sacred Arts in Florence, Italy, where she was introduced to classical techniques and traditions.
Her paintings aim to capture simple moments of beauty and stillness, inviting viewers to slow down and reflect.
